If it got overwritten, which is probably the case, by paying a lab tens of thousands of dollars to scan the disks in the drive with a scanning electron microscope (with no guarantee of success – you pay up front).

I have a raid 0 computer. I defraged my computer with a bad sector on one of the hard drives. I now need to recover some data.

how to save photos after recovering using data recovery software?
After having to force reboot my Asus laptop, I was unable to boot into Windows. I had it looked at by a professional and he believes that the hard-drive is finally dead. So I was wondering how expensive it is to get a professional to fix the physical hard-drive so I can recover all my files.

1. have you put any new data before recovery? if you put new data on the target disk, the original data will be covered, and then you can recover nothing.
2. have you downloaded the full version? If you just download trial version, you can not save the files. until you use the full version you can recover the files you need.

Hi All, I recently lost all my data due to my system crash. I used “get data back for NTFS” and recovered my data but i was sad when i found out almost all of my recovered files were currepted. what’s the best data recovery software for Vista?
I have a Seagate 500 GB/7200rpm something or other hard drive that suffered trauma when the Macbook it was in hit the ground. The drive is like 2 years old. I sent it to Data Recovery Labs and they quoted $1690 to recover the data. Surely there must be an alternative that *normal* people can afford? Any tips?

Have you tried plugging it into an external harddrive case you can get from bestbuy for like $40-$50. Try freezing it for about 30min and reconnecting it to the computer, this option only gives you about 15-20 mins, so you need to get your data off ASAP. It also depends on how bad the drive was damaged. Last but no least try geek squad they might be able to get you data of around $99-$160.

Where can I find a better quality data recovery tool?
I am using EASEUS data recovery wizard to try to recover my files on my external hard drive. It looked like this was working for a while but now it is stuck in one spot and the bar isn’t moving forward. It isn’t frozen as the timer keeps increasing. Should I wait and see what happens or start over?
